The Mission of the Moshannon Valley School District is to provide each student with the opportunity to acquire the knowledge, skills, and values to become educated life-long learners. This requires the shared responsibility of the administration, students, staff, faculty and the community. Our vision will result in students who are world citizens.

2012-13 school year sports physicals will held Thursday, July 12, 2012, from 1:00 - 4:00 pm in the high school Nurse's Office. The cost is $10 cash or check. All interested student athletes need to sign-up in the high school Main Office and pick up the sports physical packet for completion by parents/guardians and athletes. There are approximately 60 time slots, and they will be taken on a first come / first serve basis. Bring the completed physical packet and your payment with you on July 12, 2012.

The school calendar has been revised to make-up the snow day on April 23, 2012. Thursday, June 7, 2012, is now a student day. School will be in session for staff and students.

Evening of the Arts: K-6 Art Show 6:00 PM, Sixth Grade Band/Choral
Concert 7:00 PM in the Elementary multipurpose room on Tuesday, May,
22nd.

Sixth Grade Graduation will be held on Thursday, June 7th at 7:00 PM
in the Lamont E. Close Gymnasium.
Congratulations to the sixth grade student representatives for winning
the School Board Academic Challenge. The school board will serve the
sixth graders ice cream and cake after the graduation ceremonies as a
reward for this accomplishment.

Baccalaureate will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2012, at 7:00 pm in the High School auditorium with refreshments afterwards in the cafeteria. All are welcome.
 

Freshman class trip on Friday May 25th

Memorial Day, Monday, May 28, 2012. School will not be in session. Take a moment and give thanks for the sacrifices made for our freedom.

The 57th Annual Commencement will be held in the Lamont E. Close Gymnasium on June 8, 2012, at 7:00 pm. Congratulations to the Class of 2012! We wish you the best on your future endeavors.
